Liam & Cherie were married on perhaps the stormiest wedding day we've ever had the pleasure of shooting!!
The planned beachfront wedding at Papamoa had to be abandoned due to severe weather warnings across the country - so they were married at Finlay Park, near Karapiro. The rain poured down all day - yet didn't put a damper on the awesome atmosphere in the slightest!
After their ceremony, we went off in search of semi-dry locations for photos - beginning at the Finlay Park jetty - and then heading to a grove of perfect trees - such a cool spot! I have to congratulate Cherie, Liam, & the bridal party's willingness to climb a fence to get in here - there was no gate!! The photos speak for themselves as to whether it was worth the trouble!
We finished up with some shots in Cambridge town centre - my favourite was the entire bridal party blocking off the road, with cars backing up behind - very cool!!
It was an awesome day - and the fact that Liam & Cherie didn't get disheartened by the rain means that we were able to get some fantastic shots!!
